USB DAC

The USB DAC: Is less more? No oversampling, no upsampling, no digital filters, no reclocking - just converting a digital signal into an analog one!

Well, it wasn't quite that simple after all. Intensive listening comparisons of the predecessor model - built with the legendary TDA1541 - with different converter technologies showed us the way: The multibit converter chip AD1865 with current output, current - voltage conversion in hybrid technology (derived from our phono amplifier Phono 200), an elaborate power supply with tube rectification, a total of seven voltage stabilizations, high quality components and a USB input board of the latest design brought the desired result.

Unrestrained joy of playing, most colorful timbres, jumping dynamics, at the same time fine resolution - our new USB DAC provides a captivating listening pleasure!

Signal voltage amplification with tubes and semiconductors

FET - tube cascode with active load for extremely high, linear dynamic range.

Class A output stage

With MOSFETs and active load: broadband, high current capability, lowest distortion.

Power supply

Complex power supply with voltage stabilization for all stages of the amplifier.

Processing

High quality of all components, e.g. 1% and 0.1% precision resistors, top-quality film capacitors in the signal path, 105° electrolytic capacitors with long service life in the power supply, circuit boards with optimized conductor path.
